Lundin says hold Bankers Petroleum

Brien Lundin, in the May, 2011, edition of the Gold Newsletter, says hold Bankers Petroleum Ltd., recently $8.63. Mr. Lundin said buy nine times between October, 2004, and September, 2010, at prices ranging from 52 cents to $6.87 (the stock rolled back 1 for 3 in July, 2008).
He twice advised taking some profits, perhaps by selling half -- in April, 2005, at $1.80 and in April, 2010, at $9.27. Assuming a $1,000 investment for each buy, the half sales would have yielded profits of $1,221 and $8,756, respectively.
The $4,500 investment, remaining after all transactions, would now be worth $12,703. Bankers Petroleum has increased its production from the Patos-Marinza oil field in Albania to 13,500 barrels of oil per day from 4,724 bopd in 2007. In the first quarter of 2011, it put 13 wells on production, and it expects to soon start up two more wells.
It has also reactivated eight wells which now constitute 43 per cent of output. Bankers intends to become the sole operator at Patos-Marinza; it is buying AlbPetrol ShA's 140 active wells on the oil field for $24-million (U.S.) plus other costs.
Bankers' production expansion complements increasing netbacks, which were $23.15 in 2010, up from $13.40 in 2009
